Timber Merchanting and Haulage
Merchanting This service is available nationwide.
Woodland owners have found our wide experience of timber management, both in thinning out scrub and expertise of felling trees, coupled with our understanding the market value of felled trees to be invaluable.
We are always interested in purchasing standing or roadside timber for onward sale, whether a few logs or few hundred Hectares. We the timber extracted either in our own right or on behalf of others.
We sell Firewood, palette wood, soft wood fencing material, first quality large wood and first quality oak. Ring for prices and availability.
It is worth noting that we do not sell planking or sawn timber, only round timber. However we have many excellent contacts at Sawmills who we can put you in contact with.
Our specialised equipment includes tractor mounted winches, Unimog 4X4s and HGV's fitted with self-loading claw cranes.
Haulage This service is also available nationwide.
Our purpose designed HGV's are rated for loads of several tonnes and have self-loading claw grab cranes.
We pride ourselves on managing our haulage business so that return journeys without a load are minimised. This allows us to keep our transport charges low; a key task in these days of ever-higher vehicle running costs and carbon foot-prints.
Corporate Christmas trees. If your business requires a large christmas tree for your offices, or if you are arranging the centre-piece for a town square, Benbow brothers have a long history of sourcing and erecting festive firs and Christmas conifers, we have supplied the trees to inner-city Liverpool and Birmingham, as well as smaller venues.
Benbow brothers are proud partners of the Forestry Commission and our fleet can often be found transporting Forestry Comission trees to Sawmills up and down the country. With over £1.6 billion invested in saw, paper and board mills over the last two decades, there is a lot of demand for English Timber, which we help the Forestry Commission provide for.
We are often found carrying timber to Mills that the mills themselves own. A lot of mills cannot afford to maintain their own fleets, which is where we can help.
Whether you require details of our haulage costs or have a timber merchanting opportunity please don't hesitate to contact us via email, telephone, fax or post.
